Oscar is a big, friendly boy. We placed him as a kitten. Four years later he came back to us. His adoptive mother had gotten into rescue work and while Oscar seemed to like the rescue dogs okay he didn't much like the multitude of other cats. He may well be okay with 1 or 2 other cats if introduced slowly or if he's first. Somewhere along the way he picked up an eye infection - probably from rescued kittens. I have one cat like that in my household. It doesn't spread like wildfire through the household (thank goodness) if the other cats are vaccinated. No one else in my household has gotten it but since no vaccinations are 100% effective someone could. It waxes and wanes, causing a runny eye from time to time and occasinally needs eye drops for pain relief. Can be controlled in a lot of cats with l-lysine. FELV/FIV negative, shots, microchipped, neutered. Adoption fee includes registering the microchip. Contact Oscar's foster mom at kurthfran2@aol.com or 410-685-8145.
