Toonces is a very friendly boy. He was left on CHAT's back porch in a carrier. We agreed to partner with CHAT to help find him a home. He is probably 3-6 years old. He had a heart murmur so we took him to the cardiologist. The cardiologist decided to put him on medication although he said most of his colleagues probably woudn't have. In any case, it would not appear to be anything serious. I've always had a house full of heart patients and would say that they almost always die of something else unless the heart has a serious issue which Toonces does not. He will need a recheck from time to time. He needs his teeth cleaned but we've postponed that until after his first cardiology recheck. We will be responsible for the teeth cleaning and cardiology recheck even if he's gone to a home. For the right home, we would consider sharing the cost of the next few cardiology rechecks.
