Tabitha and her brother were rescued from a Lanham, MD backyard. She has needed some socialization, but Tabitha has learned to enjoy being petted and brushed. She does not like being held, and it's difficult to remember this because she is so cute that one REALLY wants to cuddle her! Tabitha does purr quite loudly, though, when she is petted on the floor or cuddled on your lap!
"Tabby" is a typical kitten in that she loves to play! She is very intelligent, you can tell! Tabitha is curious about her surroundings, and gets along well with her other (male) roommates. In fact, she probably would prefer the company of another cat! She is extremely healthy, and well behaved but very shy.
Because of her past experiences in the "wild", she does not like dogs and would not do well in a household with small children. Tabitha 's person should be familiar with cats. And be willing to spare a little more time and patience, to enable this kitten to eventually become a lifetime companion!
