We had TJ evaluated by Dr. Saunders, a board certified cardiologist. Dr. Saunders did not see any evidence of current heart disease or feel any medications were currently needed. He did see something called a "moderator band" - sort of, as I understand it, like a short extra muscular section of heart muscle. Dr. Saunders wants to see TJ again in about 2 years just to keep an eye on him - he says sometimes medication is eventually required if the "moderator band" starts to restrict blood flow. | ||||||||
